Monthly Committee Round Up: September

  • Education Committee: This month’s EC meeting took place at HKU, where we discussed upcoming CanCham events, established connections with the Canadian International School in Hong Kong, explored the Workplace Micro-learning series, and welcomed new members.

  • Entrepreneur & Small Business Committee: We continued Episode 5 of our “Members Mentoring Members” thematic series, focusing on Sustainable Non-Profit Business and the Circular Economy. We welcomed new members and exchanged innovative ideas, with many ESBC team members attending the Belt and Road Summit.

  • The Women’s Network: September marked a significant milestone for TWN as we hosted the Annual Midsummer / 10th Anniversary event. We were honored to have Consul-General Charles Reeves join us for this celebration!

  • Financial Services Committee: The FSC hosted a breakfast meeting for members, featuring a brainstorming session on upcoming exciting topics, including digital assets and the future of the Canadian economy.

  • Innovation Committee: IC hosted an engaging event on "HK Talent & Future of Work," generously sponsored by Google. The event featured insightful speakers, Mr. Anthony Lau from HKTD and Mr. Nathan Khan from LinkedIn. We explored Hong Kong's talent landscape, focusing on key trends and strategies for upskilling local professionals and attracting overseas talent to enhance our competitive edge.

A big thank you to all our co-chairs for their leadership and to all attendees for their participation!
