Chairman's 2026 Annual Report

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong - Chairman's Annual Update 2025–2026

It is my privilege to present this annual update on the activities and strategic direction of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong to our members.  This report, aligned with our mission and strategic goals, is being  presented at our Annual General Meeting and made available to all members.

First and foremost, I extend my sincere gratitude to our members for your steadfast support and active participation. You are the cornerstone of the Chamber's success. I would like to particularly acknowledge the exceptional contributions of our Governors, Executive Committee (Exco), Committee Co-Chairs, Secretariat, and our generous sponsors who also provide support to and serve on our committees, and governing council. A special thanks again this year to our Executive Director, Patrick Levesque, and the Secretariat team for their dedication, professional administration, and leadership in our community.

Our Mission & Value Proposition
Our mission, which remains unchanged for the past 50 years, is to foster commerce between Hong Kong and Canada, connecting our members with opportunities in Hong Kong, Canada, and Asia. We have experienced remarkable growth, reaching a historic high of over 3,200 members representing 450+ companies in Hong Kong.

Our value proposition lies in delivering services for our members including: business promotion; networking opportunities; brand exposure; representation and advocacy engagement; learning and training; and providing information and insights.

The Annual Report: November 2025 to October 2026
This past year, our Chamber continued its innovative approach and entrepreneurial spirit to actively engage and represent our members on significant matters. This success was made possible by our exceptional leadership teams, our Officers, Executive Committee, Executive Director, Secretariat, and Committee Co-Chairs, and the invaluable support of our wise Council of Governors. Our dedicated full-time staff (the Secretariat team) played a crucial role in executing key operations. Together, we have effectively served the interests of our membership and the broader Hong Kong business community.

While Hong Kong's continuing economic recovery in very volatile and uncertain times, has presented challenges across all business sectors, our Chamber has seized upon this as an opportunity for revitalization and action. Our main objective is to remain relevant and engaging to our members as we embrace Hong Kong's role as a "Super Connector," and support members in navigating geo-political, financial, and commercial challenges.

Against this backdrop, I am pleased to report that our Chamber had a very successful year. Below, updates on our progress against the strategic priorities, many set out at the beginning of my Chairmanship and continuing into Fiscal 2025/2026.
