Event Management Trainee

Job Description:

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is seeking a high-caliber intern to join its team. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is the largest Canadian business organization outside Canada with over 2,500 members who form the core of the Hong Kong Canada business community.

 

Major responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning, organization, coordination and promotion of monthly and special Chamber events

- Support and collaborate with the Events and Marketing Team in securing sponsorship

- Attend events to facilitate operations, logistics and respond to emergencies to ensure the events are implemented as planned

- Provide volunteer recruitment, participation, supervision and coordination for special events

- Respond to general enquiries for promotional documents

- Assist with daily administrative tasks



Interns will:

- Gain valuable working experience in an internationally minded organization in the world’s greatest metropolis

- Have exposure to a broad range of Hong Kong business community

- Learn transferable skills in a variety of business areas

- Supplement classroom learning with real experience

- Add the name of a reputable organization (and hopefully a glowing reference letter) to your portfolio

 

Skills & Eligibility:

- Current enrollment in Business, Hospitality Management or related discipline

- Event management experience or related field preferred

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with basic graphic design and video editing skills

- Excellent English written and oral communication skills with Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) beneficial
