Celebrating Our Members: St. Michaels University School and Student Achievements

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from our gold sponsor, St. Michaels University School (SMUS). Arlen So, a talented Grade 12 student, has been cast in the upcoming TV adaptation of Stephen King’s highly anticipated series, The Institute, set to air on MGM+!

Arlen will portray George, the class clown among a group of gifted children kidnapped by a mysterious organization. This role not only showcases his incredible talent but also highlights SMUS's commitment to nurturing creativity and excellence in its students.

Arlen's journey to this remarkable opportunity began during rehearsals for the SMUS musical Something Rotten!, where talent agent Kelli McLeod recognized his potential. Despite facing challenges, including illness during his audition, Arlen impressed the casting team and secured this prestigious role.

As filming progresses, Arlen is balancing his academic responsibilities with the demands of a professional acting career. His experience serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of talent and determination.

We congratulate Arlen and the SMUS community on this achievement and look forward to seeing him shine on screen!🎬✨
